Alfanar Energía's environmental management is governed by the Integrated Management System (IMS) Policy, which describes our strong and voluntary commitment to sustainable growth, minimizing environmental impacts and ensuring the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations. Our environmental approach is implemented through the IMS procedures and manuals, which is our framework and establishes the rules and guiding principles for our daily operations. These policies and procedures ensure Alfanar Energía's ongoing regulatory compliance and the implementation of industry best practices, both in our office and on our projects. Integrating environmental policies and procedures into our daily practices is key to achieving our purpose of building a renewable future. It allows us to behave sustainably and responsibly as we develop, finance, build and operate solar, wind and hydrogen plants. To proactively identify and assess environmental risks and opportunities for our projects and operations, we have developed a set of procedures that allow us to identify and assess, mitigate and, where possible, avoid the negative impact of our projects on the local and global environment. We are committed to:

• Ensure that environmental management activities are driven by the management board;


• Implementing an IMS in the life cycle of our projects and in our office;


• Complying with local, regional, national and international laws, as appropriate;


• Ensuring that environmental impacts are considered in our products and services, in the management of all our assets and in all our decisions;


• Investigating environmental incidents;


• Periodically auditing and reviewing to ensure that our management system is effective and that our projects are implementing all relevant requirements;


• Reporting to the management board on the results of periodic performance evaluations and on our environmental performance;


• Establishing a complaint management procedure for receiving, investigating and replying to concerns raised by internal and external stakeholders regarding environmental issues; and


• Controlling and minimizing the impacts derived from our activity, especially on biodiversity, waste generation and carbon footprint.
